Banquet and Parents' Meeting Dates Set

The Winter Sports Awards Night is scheduled for March 6 for all middle school and high school basketball players and cheerleaders.  The event will be held in the high school cafeteria beginning at 6:00.  Parents are asked to bring a dessert.

In addition, the date for the Spring Sports OHSAA Parents, Athletes, and Coaches Meeting is March 13 at 6:00 in the high school cafeteria.  All spring athletes who have not attended a previous meeting must attend in order to be eligible to play.

Coaches vs. Cancer Fundraiser A Success

This year's Coaches vs. Cancer game was a successful evening, as our Vikings squared off against Cincinnati Christian.  Thanks to a large and generous crowd, we were able to raise over $1600 for the American Cancer Society.  A special thanks to Kaylee Philpot, Steven Rogers, Tiffany Colwell, Casey Parker, Brittany Hacker, and Catrina Spicer (not pictured), who led the two-week fundraising efforts.

Alumni Basketball Game Night Announced

This year's annual Alumni Basketball Game will be held on March 3 from 7-9 pm.  Last year's event was well attended and was a huge success.  Come out and see if you've still got game, or just come out and see some of your old friends!

Marcum Named All-League and All-District

Congratulations to junior football player Patrick Marcum, who earned All-League First Team honors this fall.  He was honored at the Miami Valley Conference sponsored First Team Recognition Program at CCD on November 13.

Patrick was also named to the All-Southwest Ohio Second Team by the District Coaches Association.

2012 Hall of Fame Weekend Honors Pair


The Hall of Fame Class of 2012 was announced at halftime of the February 10 basketball game vs. Cincinnati Christian and officially inducted at the February 11 dinner ceremony.  This year's inductees were Mr. Kevin Lakes (Class of 1978) and Mr. John Philpot (Class of 1973).

Athletes Participate in Service Project

Four student-athletes participated in the Miami Valley Conference service project on February 9.  Austin Meacham, Austin Bales, Tarynn McIntye, and Alicia Jenkins joined students from all nine of the league's other schools and worked for a couple hours at the Vineyard Church's Healing Center.  This marked the third consecutive year that the league has volunteered at the facility.
